The trip to NYC had its high points and its low points;
High Points:
Signing lots of books at local bookstores.
Selling two books to girls who happened to be there when I was.
Meeting my agent.
Meeting up with friends.
Low Points:
Going home on crutches
Having to stay an extra few days because of crutches, and thus missing the cat terribly.
I'm fine now, today was my first day off the crutches, though my foot is a little sore still. Not much to report other than it's official that I will be visiting Hazel Park Academy in St. Paul, MN to talk about writing, though we have yet to set a date. I'm really excited at the opportunity.
The goal is to have Homefinding (the Irish/Fae in Boston novel) to my agent by the beginning of September. Then it will be out searching for a home, so everyone cross your fingers for me! Dutton is looking at my proposal for a sequel to Shapeshifter's Quest, we have yet to hear from them, and my agent is busy trying to sell foreign rights.
And that is all. You must excuse me to stop the cat from eating the rest of the chocolate peanut butter ice cream...
