Slightly tipsy - on half a glass of wine. Why, yes, I have no tolerance for alcohol, why do you ask?

In spite of the fact that I've long resisted the whole stereotype of writers never getting out of their pj's, staying up all night writing, and having a bazillion cats... I went to the human society on Monday and adopted a cat. He's adorable - three and a half months, gray and black, green eyes. I think I'm going to call him Zebra, Zeb for short. I love him already - hey, he came litterbox trained, what's not to love? - but for some reason my eyes are smarting something fierce. I've never been allergic to cats before though...and no sneezing...but I'm still a little nervous.

Physical therapy, while going well, has been frustrating. Mainly because I'm still in pain when I dance so I haven't been able to take class much. It's indescribable how irritable it makes me to not be able to dance. I miss it, and because I'm waiting to get that part of my life started here I feel like I still haven't settled in. It's also frustrating because I worked so hard in Boulder to improve, and really feel like I had some breakthroughs, and then BAMN! No dancing for Dena. Since I have a lot of free time - and there's only so many hours in a day a girl can write - it's driving me nuts to not be able to go to class.

Homefinding - the new novel - is up to 92 pages. Yee haw! So roughly half done though, mind you, I have no idea how it will end. Still no word from Dutton on Canal Dancer. Luckily I'm not a nail biter *G* Working on Magpie but I'm ready to chuck the manuscript across the room. Enough said about that. The cover art for SQ arrived and I couldn't be happier. It's just gorgeous, and everyone who's seen it has said so. I really like how it fits different aspects of the book. It should be posted on my website soon. Hope you guys all like it!
