Oh, lordy, am I feeling overwhelmed!

The opening went well, in spite of the fact that I fell down the stairs backstage at dress rehearsal and twisted my ankle. So I could only go on for a few of the numbers. Dancers are crazy. "What do you mean I shouldn't dance on a sprained ankle? Give me ice, and ankle brace and painkillers and I'll be fine!" :P

Still don't have final revision letter from my editor, which is scaring me. Final revisions are due in August, but with the play open I'm not going to have a lot of time to work on the manuscript. Especially if I get the part in A Chorus Line that I'm trying out for (I'm not too hopeful, given that I'll be auditioning with a bum ankle, but on the other hand that means I won't be upset if I don't get it) and end up in rehearsals every night of the week...again. But I did hear from my agent and we should be getting the signed contracts back in the next two weeks.

Work on Magpie is going well. I hit 284 pages today, though I'm going to have to go back and fix some stuff that wasn't clear and is confusing critters (passage of time/Emperor's strength). I think I'm almost out of that "Dreaded Middle Of The Book" phase and into "Whee! I'm Close To Finishing!" phase.

Invited someone over for dinner tonight as a 'thank you.' I feel like entertaining, but I'm of two minds as to whether or not I want them to come over tonight. It could be fun, it could be awkward. Eh, what the hell! Awkward evenings make for great stories later... hee hee...beware of befriending a writer!

And I've got 45 minutes left of work, Thank God. This was the Day That Will Never End. Let me see...what else can I do to waste time? :)
