Hello all-

Yes, I know, it's been a while. I've been crazy busy, as usual. To recap:

I have one article out in this month's issue of Dance Spirit. It's the one on flexibility that I interviewed Alex from the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop for. Another article will be coming out in May, and I have another one due on May4th. It's my first non-health related piece, and for it I have to interview choreographers to get exercise ideas that students can use to create choreography. Maybe it'll help me, too :)

The River Valley Student Writer's Conference will be in two and a half weeks. My class/lesson plan is written, though I need to figure out how to close the class. I'm in the process of critiquing the student writing samples, which is not proving easy. I want to give them something concrete to work with while still leaving their egos relatively intact.

Alpha-reader's comments on Homefinding have been addressed and the adverb count cut from 273 to 142. The novel is now ready to send to beta-readers M'rissa and Leah. Aren't they excited *g* I need to print off crits from the 'shop and post new chapters but my printer cartridge is out of ink. (I'm also out of toilet paper, so I need to go to Target, but I don't know if it's open on Easter. And it seems a bit tacky to go shopping on Easter).

I probably won't be going to Boulder again this year :( The good news would be it's because the Eastside Arts Council hired me to teach dance at their summer session. They said the kids were really enjoying it. Yeah! But there are two weekend teacher's intensives in NYC that I could go to, once I can decide which one appeals to me the most, and be back here in time to teach.

I have a new novel started, it's contemporary YA fantasy, so we'll see what happens with it.

And the kitty is still adorable, though he is getting quite big and might be put on a diet soon. That is to say, I need to stop feeding him scraps of people food!
