Hmm...not much to report, but I'll do my best to make my life sound interesting.
I will be speaking at the River Valley Student Writer's Conference on April 14th. I'm quite excited, even though I'm still brainstorming ideas for the 90-minute seminar I have to present. I know it's a long shot, but it would be nice to have advance copies of my book to show. Unfortunately, they may not be ready in time.
One of my articles was in Dec.'s issue of Dance Spirit. My next will be in March's issue. I don't know yet when the article I interviewed Stephen for will be coming out, or the Pro Portrait piece on Alex that I did.
Homefinding is up to 217 pages. I'm in the homestretch now! Maybe ten or so pages to go, if that, before it's done. And then I start re-writes and edits. Yeah *g* Yup, writers have a glamorous life.
Talked to John about Faithless Jade (formerly known as Magpie) and Canal Dancer. He's sending me editorial comments on FJ this week, just in time for the long plane trip to Spain. Canal Dancer will be going out to four different publishing houses this week, so wish me luck! I'd really like to sell my next novel and get over the fear of being a one-shot deal.
Speaking of Spain - wow, I can't believe it's almost here! I wish I had the money to buy a digital camera and post pics, but it's going to be the ten dollar disposable cameras again. Which sucks because I can't share pics nearly as easily. But I'm still looking forward to getting out of the country for the first time in two plus years, and to being in a different place. Hopefully it will go well.
