Three days and counting!
Not that I'm anxious or anything...
Very busy with publicity work;
Designed a postcard to send to bookstores and schools, then had a friend help me with the layout.
Put together a list of all the bookstores in Minnesota and Washington that the postcard will go to.
Also put together a list of all the teachers I'd previously contacted so that I could send them postcards reminding them of my existence.
If anyone knows someone who lives in Duluth, MN, I would so greatly appreciate it if you would twist their arm and ask them to come to my signing. I'm starting to freak out and think no one will come. The information again;
Northern Lights Bookstore
307 Canal Park Dr.
Duluth, MN 55802
August 27th, 1pm
In the midst of all this I'm training for a new job at Wild Rumpus Books for Young Readers, www.wildrumpusbooks.com, and I'm loving it thus far. Come by and visit me once my book is out and I'd be happy to autograph it. We do have copies on order. I typically work Friday afternoons and evenings and Saturday afternoons.
And, lastly, my book was reviewed in the August issue of www.locusmag.com. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on a copy, yet, so I'm dying to know what it says. If anyone has it I'd be ever-so-grateful if you'd email me the text.
That's it for now-

Dena- I don't know anyone in Duluth, but take heart, if few people show up it's because there are few people up there to start out with.
You must be falling over with anticipation waiting for those books to hit the shelves. Congradulations!

Hey girl, this is Suzi from good ol' Sheppard One South (S1S)! I'm so excited you have a book out! I'm in Chicago again after living in Los Angeles and Minneapolis before coming back 'home' a year ago. I can't believe you're in Minneapolis! If you ever come to Chicago, you've got a place to stay! :) Would love to hear from ya! shamberg@hotmail.com. I hope it's ok to list my email address on here! Best to you! I'm excited for you! P.S. I heard about your book from Debbie from S1S. :)
