Hey!
Posting a quick entry before eating lunch and running out the door to the theatre. We open tonight! Woo hoo! I have to wear a scratchy wig that I hate, and my dress is hideous, but we're opening tonight! Didn't get home until 2:30am and I'm so glad I took today off of work. I slept in until 10am, then got up and did stuff around the house. You know, the things that slide when you're not home for two weeks. :P
I wrote two pages in Magpie on Thurs.! Woo hoo! Broke a two week writer's block on the book and am feeling good about it.
Also got two rejections - one from sf-org and one from Black Gate. But they were both personal, with very specific details as to why they'd been rejected, and both said the stories had been shortlisted. So that's kind of encouraging :)
Picked up J. at the train station yesterday with a friend of his who's in town from Ohio (I didn't know anyone lived there :P). Mentioned that I'd invited a bunch of friends to go out this coming Thurs. and said he was welcome to come. And his quick - "I'd really like that" - was quite gratifying ;) And thus far six of my friends have said they'll be able to make it, so it looks like it'll be a good night.
And that's about it. I've got so much to do it's not even funny. Later!
