316 pages on Magpie.

Yeah! But I don't like anything that I wrote today...

I have one scene to fill in, chronologically, and I'll be up to the battle. This novel definitely won't be as long as The Carver. EBear pointed out something in my writing about distance/sentence structure that I'm going to have to start being aware of, however. Revisions on this novel are going to be a b*tch. Speaking of revisions...I still haven't started on them for SQ. I'm feeling overwhelemd about the extent of what I have to do. I'm working late tonight, killing time before I meet Hillary before Bible study, so I figure I'll print it out then. Then read it over on the T tomorrow.

Yeah! Leah just posted a new crit of my latest chapter! Happy Dance!

Uh, right, back to normal blogging...

I'm at the point in the novel when I'm not happy with anything I write. I feel like I'm not doing the idea justice, or not living up to the potential of the beginning of the book. *angst* Writing a novel can be such a mental game. Putting words on the page can be an act of great heroism some days. I've got four more outlined scenes and then...nothing. I somehow have to bring the book to a climax/ending point. No problem. Piece of cake. Cue freak out...
