The trip to NYC had its high points and its low points;
High Points:
Signing lots of books at local bookstores.
Selling two books to girls who happened to be there when I was.
Meeting my agent.
Meeting up with friends.
Low Points:
Going home on crutches
Having to stay an extra few days because of crutches, and thus missing the cat terribly.
I'm fine now, today was my first day off the crutches, though my foot is a little sore still. Not much to report other than it's official that I will be visiting Hazel Park Academy in St. Paul, MN to talk about writing, though we have yet to set a date. I'm really excited at the opportunity.
The goal is to have Homefinding (the Irish/Fae in Boston novel) to my agent by the beginning of September. Then it will be out searching for a home, so everyone cross your fingers for me! Dutton is looking at my proposal for a sequel to Shapeshifter's Quest, we have yet to hear from them, and my agent is busy trying to sell foreign rights.
And that is all. You must excuse me to stop the cat from eating the rest of the chocolate peanut butter ice cream...

I'm sorry to say this but if I see one more writer's bio that says, "I've been writing since I've two, since I could pick up a pencil" I think I'm going to throw up. That is so cliche. Come on you're a writer, I'm sure you can think of a much more interesting bio than that!
Sorry,
-a peeved reader of bio's.

Well, actually, my grandmother was a kindergarten teacher and took care of me while my Mom was working, so she started to teach me to read while I was young. And if you had read the bio more carefully you would have seen that it said I'd been READING since I was two, not writing.
I started writing in third grade. Just because something is a cliche doesn't mean it doesn't happen to be the truth with the particular person you're dealing with.

I'm sorry to sound so harsh. I like to read author's bios. I'm sure yours will evolve with time. Congratulations on the publication of your book, that's really awesome! You will have many more, I'm sure.
